I guess I'm going to be the first one to keep a diary on this board. Well, as a brief self-introduction: I live near Nagoya and teach at four junior high schools in a smaller city. I like studying languages and weight training.

As for today, I felt a bit sick, but it's all over. I rode my bike home and it was really cold. You wouldn't think that it's that cold if you don't ride a motorcycle. Anyway, weight training cancelled today, and I worked on this site all evening. I have lessons tomorrow, too, so I better go to bed.

I'm perfectly well now. I worked today as well, so I didn't have much time to work on the site. I hope it to be finished by Christmas. And talking about Christmas, on Christmas day we are going to fly to Okinawa and spend there three days. I really am looking forward to it. Very Happy

For a long time I haven't been to the gym, but today I had a really good workout. It felt really good working on all the muscle groups. But the strange thing is that I don't feel exhausted at all. In fact I am full of energy. Well I guess I'm going to need it in order to complete this site. I hope people who visit here learn something useful or at least have a good time.

I'm back from Okinawa. It was a short trip spending two nights on Miyako Island. The weather could have been better but I didn't mind it. We went snorkeling to the reefs and saw many beautiful fish. It was sad to see the the destruction of the last typhoon. It was in September and the the island hasn't recovered from it yet. The next thing to look forward is the New Year. I guess there will be nothing special about it, we're going to make mochi and go to the temple and the shrine.

I visited Okinawa 6 years ago. It was spring and we had very good weather. It was very hot just like very hot summer in Osaka. Shocked All members of our tour got sunburned in spite of suntan cream. Embarassed
Skin of my nose was turned up. Fortunately we could see a lot of beautiful fish even in a shoal. They looked like living jewels.Indeed we could touched dolphins in an arm of the sea. I=d like to visit Okinawa again. Smile

I'd like to go again but not in the winter. The sea was OK, but it was quite windy so when we got out of the water we froze. Shocked It was worth snorkeling though. Very Happy

These days I was busy with copying CDs so that I can listen to them any time. (They are mostly audio books and plays mainly from Agatha Christie, my favorite.) Besides we went to the temple and the shrine. In the following days I tried to make a good storyline because I'm trying to write a story of my own. Let's hope it's going to be something to look forward. Wink

Recently I've been still working on the layout of the site, and now I finished the full integration of the forum, so that it's really part of the site. and made a new logo. (How do you like it?) Very Happy That means that now I have time continue with the contents. And hey, we have a nem member, too. Welcome.

In the junior high school I don't really have much to do this week, because the students are having tests. Anyway it's going back to normal next week. Wink

I think one of the best DVDs for English learners is "Erin Brockovich", but as always, it's more important that you like the genre. The DVD section will be there very soon I hope. Very Happy

I don't like the winter. One morning when I went to work by motorcycle I nearly slipped because people here in Nagoya don't seem to care whether the roads are covered with ice. But it's not that cold after all.

The other day I bought some DVDs. Hey, they are getting cheaper; this is good news! I like movies and most of the time I find something interesting. Still the selection of European movies is not so wide.

It has been very cold in these days. Confused
You don't like cold. I hate cold, too.
Yes, the cold weather exhausts our stamina.
While I'm at our office, I feel cold though our air-conditioner is on
I know it's also a problem of age Yes, I know. Ummmm. Rolling Eyes
We feel our faces are warm but we feel our feet are chilly
Geeeeeee.

You know it's very interesting, because in Japan there is no central heating. Even in Hokkaido. Maybe it has something to do with the earthquakes?

So. I'm still still working on the site. I just made a random quotation on each page. I hope you like it. More is coming, I just thought about the structure of the site and how unorganized it must look like, so one of the next steps is going to be a writing a core as the center of the tips and hints. Only if my Japanese weren't so bad! Sad

Today I went on a "date" with my wife. We often do that, and we always call it a "date". Tuesday is the day of the Naked Festival here in Konomiya (Inazawa, Aichi) but I still don't know whether I'm going to join it. If I can take a day out I will. Last year it was much fun. Cool

The festival is over. It was really good, I stayed at the shrine to touch the Shin-Otoko but failed. It was a good experience though. On my way home I was freezing, and I had a fever too, but all that is over. Very Happy

I've started writing a longer article about language study, but I can't post it yet because I want to get the site totally separated from this board so that Google can index the pages. (Confusing, huh? Wink )

Well, it has been a long time, I'm affraid. Anyway I've made some progress on the site, nevertheless it's far from completition. Still one month to go until the school year ends in March. After that I'll go back to Europe.

Right. But you know I'm rather shy. Wink Anyway I think I'll change the banner soon enough.

As for today, again a busy weekend is over. Tomorrow I'll do my regular job at the junior high school. Soon the year will be over. Shocked

After a long time again today I went to the gym. It felt good as always. There is a drop in my strength but it will come back in the end.

This week looks like it's going to get even colder. I hate it. Anyway the spring is not far away.

Still most of my time is spent making this site. A new week is starting, up to work. Very Happy
