One of my friends e-mailed a very beautiful card. because of it’s the independence day of Pakistan today.
It's very beautiful card and it seems full of intensity of pride.
Congratulation! My friends.
To tell the truth, I can’t understand how my friends are feeling.
We, Japanese are insensitive to meaning of independence.
Japan has been independent country except occupied days by U.S after the World second war.
I heard that a big party is held to cerebrate the independence day at Hotel New Otani in Tokyo.
Some of my friends were invited but one of my friends said that he doesn’t go.
The party ticket is 17,000yen. He says that they can survive with 20,000 yen in a month in Pakistan.
He knows the value of 17,000 yen. He says that they should donate to their country rather than spend money for a gorgeous party. |

My outlook express has no problem today.
I installed yahoo messenger yesterday and tried to do voice chat with my friend.
My mike and headphone worked but my friend’s didn’t work.
I could hear my friend’s voice but my friend couldn’t.
Oh! No!
And my outlook express didn’t receive e-mails.
I didn’t know why so I called customers service center but we couldn’t solve problem.
A staff told me that I should call NEC which manufactured my PC next day.
I tuned on my PC this morning. Every thing is OK. There is no problem.
Well, it's lucky for me. I really think that PC is Pandora's Box. |

You are right Lily. Computers always can surprise you. I know them quit well, I can say but still sometimes just can't understand their reactions. |

To Rinos
Thanks for your reply. You are an expert of PC. I felt a little bit easy to hear that you sometimes surprised at their reactions. It's natural I'm confused frequently.
We had a thunderstorm last night.
I was on the way to my home from our office.
It began to rain heavy. I run into a supermarket and I bought some vegetables and a carton of milk.
I heard roll of thunder so many times under the shadow of me.
I was startled every times. Roughly 20minutes later, the thunderstorm went away.
It symbolized the end of summer. But it's still so hot today. |

There isn't too much left from the summer. It's almost September now. Time is flying, isn't it? |

Olympians make us excited.
I have no sense of sport, though.
Unfortunately, I can watch Olympic game on TV because I want to bed.
The Japanese standard time is 6 hours gain from Greece time.
So I check Olympic news on newspaper and then I watch digest version on TV.
Even though, I can be excited, Olympians are so beautiful and marvelous.
I think there are an angel and a devil in the Olympic stadium.
I like to watch swimming race especially.
When Olympians are called their name at pool side, I feel like I can hear their heartbeat.
When they dive into pool, I feel like I can touch water and see the view in the pool.
When I was a schoolgirl, I took part in swimming race several times.
I was not a very good swimmer but I like swimming. |

One of my friends asked me to translate his essay in English into Japanese.
It’s not unusual thing.
In this time, he asked me that I have to translate his essay into 1,200 letters in Japanese.
His essay was too long I think. So I refused it.
He said that we, Japanese use Chinese characters, Katakana and Hiragana.
Katakana and Hiragana are phonogram. Chinese characters are ideogram.
So we can express a lot of things in fewer Japanese letters than English he argued.
He can speak Japanese but he is not good at reading and writing Japanese.
I thought that his opinion was right but there was limit.
He said to me that I didn’t have to translate word for word and I just had to understand meaning and write in Japanese. Ummmmmm. I tried to do it.
I made a free translation within 1,200 letters.
It’s not so bad I think. Well, it’s worth to do excessive work sometimes. |

It isn't too easy to translate things. I can do it well from English to Hungarian but from Hungarian to English a bit hard to me. |

It's not the whole truth. There are words and phrases which only can be translated into longer Japanese sentences. What kind of text did you translate? |

It’s an essay of daily life whose lives in Japan as foreigner.
He likes Japan even though he sometimes feels some absurdity in his life in Japan. He wrote about them.
For instance Junior high school students have to do too much homework in Japanese school.
Banks hardly loan foreigners for business.
To study Japanese is very difficult even he has been living in Japan for long etc. |

My older son wanted to bid some cards on Yahoo auction.
You know some boys collect cards. He likes animated card.
It means ability of character and boys play with those cards.
He found 2,000 pieces of card on the Yahoo action. It’s 3,300yen.
He is younger than 20 years old so he asked me to let him use my yahoo ID.
I allowed him. He bid it but just before closing many people bided.
He bid again and again but he couldn’t get it.
He was disappointed. I guess so many boys were seated in front of their PC and bided in whole of Japan.
To tell the truth, I can’t understand why boys devote such a card.
We can see weird monsters on cards. They don’t look beautiful. Mother can’t understand boy’s taste. |

That's normal, I think. I can't understand that kind of devotion to cards and games either but my brother does (or at least used to do) the same. Let's hope it doesn't get too expensive. |

Sebastian, Thanks for your reply. Ha,ha,ha, What kind of cards dose your brother like? or did he like?
My sons like "Yuugi-ou" card.
I tuned on my radio last morning.
I found that a Japanese guy and a Spanish girl and a Spanish guy were talking in Spanish.
A Japanese guy interpreted their conversation into Japanese sometimes.
So I could understand their conversation.
A Spanish guy’s name is Josep Barahona. He comes from Cataluna.
I thought that “Oh! Cataluna. Jordi says that he is Catalan."
He is a chef and he has been living in Japan for 13 years.
He is marred with Japanese and has two kids.
They are Jordi and Marina.
After Jordi returned Spain, I’ll ask him “ Is Jordi popular name?” |

I could sleep well last night.
We had very nice breeze from our windows.
I waked up at dawn because I felt a little cold.
I wrapped myself up in a blanket and fell asleep again.
It's autumn.
The second term of my sons’ school started.
So I make a lunch box for my older son every morning.
He asks me to make his lunch box because he doesn’t have enough pocket money.
Geeeeee. My forecast was wrong.
I hadn’t thought that he asked me so. |

In North Ossetia region close to Chechnya where the two-day the hostage drama at the school ended on Friday in bloody mayhem with Russian forces battling Chechen militants.
I guess everybody heard this news and everybody is in great anger.
I guess the enterance ceremony was held on the first day of September.
New school boy and girl muut be excited with their parents.
At first Russian government said that those hostages are 354. But it was wrong.
Now they say at least 250 people were killed from what might turn out to be 1,200 or so children, parents and teachers taken hostage.
Hundreds remained in hospital, 92 in serious condition.
I wonder they control the information of hostages.
I wonder they already decided to burst into school.
Terrorism is a dirty trick. Terrorists can’t obtain our approval.
And Russian government has got to admit that they don’t respect l people's lives. |

Good morning.
How are you this morning?
I'm fine but a little bit sleepy.
You know we had earthquake twice in Kansai region last night.
We felt those earthquake are so strong and so long.
We were scared.
I think I have been excited a little because of earthquake until this morning.
Moreover typhoon 18 is approaching Kansai region.
I feel restless.
I think we have many typhoons this summer and autumn.
I guess those are related to intensive hot weather in this summer. |

We had an earthquake this morning again.
It was so strong but my older son and I held own P.C.
I guess there are a lot of pictures and music in his P.C.
What kind of pictures are there?
The typhoon 18 already has gone.
It made a lot of damage. I’m sorry to hear that.
A storm warning was called off in Osaka so my kids will have to go school and I’ll have to go to work tomorrow.
We are a little bit sorry about that. |

Good morning.
How are you this morning?
I’m fine but I have muscle pain on my hips.
I couldn’t fall asleep easily last night so I did some exercise on my bed.
I raised my legs and wrenched my waist and so on.
I could fall asleep soon but I have a muscle pain this morning.
I think I seem ridiculous.
Please have a nice day. |

I took a day off and went to Kyoto yesterday.
We can say it’s a little bit easy to take a day off between 10th and 20th.
I sometimes take a day off.
My salary is very cheap but it’s very good for me I can make my own time.
I bought a God eye stone at the hand craft market.
It was featured as bracelet with hemp.
Do you know about God eye stone?
It’s a sort of agate. It’s mined in Tibet and it looks like eye.
People highly appreciate it as an amulet.
They say it will protect you from evil.
They say Dalai Lama has the same sort of stone but I don’t know.
I don’t believe it so much but it has mysterious impression so I bought it.
But I didn’t like a string made by hemp. It’s itchy for me.
So I chose smoky crystal beads (brown colored crystal)and I ask my friend who makes bracelet and accessories with natural stones to remake it.
She exchanged a string made by hemp for smoky crystal beads.
My God eye stone bracelet looks so gorgeous and chic
Do you want to see God eye stone?
Here you are.
They look like really eyes. I think they are weird.
My God eye stone is a rectangle and it doesn’t look uncanny. |

It was my birthday yesterday.
How old did I become?
Well, it’s my secret.
After I finished my work I dropped super market to buy a small cake.
Actually, I’m not happy to age but I think I should thank that I can enjoy my life.
I came home with a small cake so my kids found my birthday.
My older son said “ Mother, it’s my pay day of part time job today. I could get money a little bit so I’ll order home delivery pizza. What kind of pizza do you want to eat? You can choose two pieces of pizzas. So you don't have to cook, right?”
We celebrated my birthday with pizza and cake.
After that one of my friends called me to sing for me “♪Happy birthday to you ~♪♪”
I recalled that he called me last my birthday and sang for me.
“well, It’s not so bad to age” I though. |

Happy Belated Birthday Lily. (But as I remember we wished you happy birthday on Satoe's and Sandy's site as well but you didn't visit there for a while. Where are you going lately? )
I'm glad to hear you had a great time on your birthday. It was very kind from your son to order pizzas for your birthday. He is really a good boy.
I just want to tell you I have a new forum for the Hungarian fans so we are leaving the ezboard one. I would be more than happy if you visit our new home here: Click here to visit the new forum
See you soon there. |

I talked with my friend last night.
We talked about her boyfriend.
She is much younger than me and beautiful and she has a talent which makes people fun.
She looks that she is free from worry.
But she has a trouble with her boyfriend.
She said that when her boyfriend asked her to marry, she refused his propose because she couldn’t understand what he said.
What?????
I think male should say just “Will you marry me?”
It’s very simple sentence. Everybody can understand what he means.
I heard that her boyfriend said “ Why don’t you come to U.S? and stay with me in my apartment?”
She replied that “I’m sorry I can’t have vacation for the present.”
She found what he meat after he went back U.S.
Oh! my! Say simply!! |
